ALL ABOUT CONCEALERS

Makeup is love for all ladies. Who doesn't want to look beautiful and attractive? Even in today’s life men also started their interests in makeup. If you are a makeup artist then you should have to be different from others and have each and every key detail in makeup. So, today let’s learn about concealers. What concealers are? How to use concealers? Why to use concealers? All those questions will be solved today so let's get started.

A concealer is a type of cosmetic product that is used to cover unevenness of the skin like dark circles, age spots, open pores, and blemishes that are visible to your skin. It is from a base color family which means they look similar to foundation, but thicker are thicker in texture and are used to hide various different face problems.

As concealer and foundations both are of the same color family they all are used to cover your skin flaws the only difference between them is that concealers are a bit thicker in consistency than foundations and are used to cover unevenness and over which foundations are to be used to complete 100% coverage. Concealers are more heavily pigmented, though both concealer and foundations are widely available in the market.

You can use a concealer all alone or along with foundation also. It comes in different forms that could be liquid or creamy. Concealers are available in a variety of shades in the market and choosing best for your skin could be confusing. If you desire of much fairer look then choose a concealer of tone to tone and if you prefer a natural tone to tone flawless makeup then you must go with one shade darker concealers as your skin problems are always darker than your skin tone so always choose concealers wisely for a perfect finish. Concealers with yellow undertone hide dark circles and pigmentations.

If you don’t want full coverage and just need to hide skin problems then you can also wear concealers all alone as well and when you are wearing foundations avoid rubbing the area after applying concealers as we have to concentrate the specific area, rubbing will decrease the effects of concealers.

Airbrush Makeup

Many of us love to get that natural & subtle makeup look. We have seen too much of cakey bases and the powdery faces. So, this is where the Airbrush Makeup gain its popularity. Airbrush Makeup is very hygienic as we spray foundations, colors & inks on the face and body. We need not touch the face while doing Airbrush Makeup. It gives a very natural looking finish and the molecules of the products used are very light in weight, which feels like makeup so light that the skin can breathe in it. Be it theater or movies Airbrush Makeup has become very popular and is loved by artists. Even the bride’s of today wants the natural skin look and healthy glow on the face for their special day and don’t opt for the heavy bases. The Airbrush Makeup can last for 24 hours.

Here are some tips to remember while doing Airbrush makeup:

1. You should maintain 4-6 fingers gap while doing the airbrush makeup on face and 2-3 fingers gap while spraying over the eyes.

2. For beginners, it is advisable to practice circular motions. So as to prevent the makeup from becoming patchy.

3. When covering large area, use the airbrush with more air pressure. Smaller area requires low air pressure comparatively.

4. Don’t open your eyes as soon as eye makeup is done. Keep your eyes closed for sometime to avoid making it patchy.

5. Keep your control over the trigger and concentrate on the direction of the air flow to avoid mistakes.

6. it’s preferable to use lighter colors first and then move towards the dark ones. This saves your time, as u wouldn’t need to clean the gun after every step.

7. The air gun should be cleaned after every use. As soon as u finishes the makeup pour some cleanser in the mixing cup and then cleans it, this prevents the ink from drying.

8. Giving touchups in the airbrush makeup is little difficult, so once you are confident enough press the trigger and stay focused.

Blending 101

A common opinion that every makeup fanatic has is, blending is the key. It’s one of the most important features of makeup application. It is something that differentiates beginners and experts. With proper blending, you can make you can make any drugstore product look expensive and vice versa. And it can make your makeup look flawless and professional without getting it done by an expert. It requires different tools and techniques to blend the makeup in different parts of the face and body.

Use a beauty blender

A cosmetic sponge is a true game changer in the world of beauty. While blending in the foundation or any harsh lines, use a damp sponge. It will soak any excess product sitting on your skin.

Buff your foundation

Once you’ve applied your foundation, the aim is to make your face look natural yet radiant and even toned. For this, take any brush of your choice, preferably a buffer brush and move it in small circular motion to gently push the product into your skin. This will give a flawless finish to your foundation

A fine layer of powder goes a long way

After you are done applying the foundation, use a light layer of powder to set it. This will allow you to blend the rest of the powder products seamlessly and easily.

Blend out the edges

The purpose of blush is to look healthy and alive. The objective is to make it look like you’re glowing from within, with no noticeable signs of where it begins and ends.

Similarly, if you’re inclined towards contouring and highlighting the face, do not forget that the dark shades close in and light shades open up. You need to blend out the edges so the colour shifts from light to dark, gradually.
